Brooklyn, N.Y., November 6, 2024 – Brooklyn Football Club’s (BKFC) midfielders Sam Kroeger and Mackenzie Pluck were named to the USL Super League’s Team of the Month for October, league officials announced on Wednesday. Kroeger’s standout performance included a Goal of the Month nominee, scored against Fort Lauderdale on October 27.
BKFC went 3-3-1 over the jam-packed month of October, tallying wins against Tampa Bay Sun FC (2-1), Fort Lauderdale United FC (3-1), and Spokane Zephyr FC (1-0). Brooklyn ended the month tied for the top of the table with 20 points.
Kroeger’s potential Goal of the Month strike came on a strong right-footed shot from outside the box to the top right corner, assisted by Pluck following a corner. Pluck also assisted on Brooklyn’s equalizer against Carolina on October 15, delivering a cross off a corner that Allison Pantuso headed from the center of the box into the top left corner.
Kroeger and Pluck follow midfielder Mackenzie George and forward Jessica Garziano, who received the team of the month honors in September. Garziano was also named overall player of the month.
